Each doctoral gown is individually inspected before shipment to customer .
Very full cut, it falls in graceful folds and is most becoming to all types of figures, both male and female .
Our deluxe doctoral robes are light weight and practically wrinkle free.
Features 4" Wide, Crush resistant, deep pile Ph.D. blue velvet front panels (or black velvet) which extend over the shoulders and behind the neck and drapes down the front of the gown .
Chevrons of PhD gown are made from same deep pile Ph.D black or blue velvet as front velvet .
Gown is fully tailored with gathered sleeves and finished with a cord and button below the back yoke.
Available as shown (on right) IN STOCK, or can be custom made in your choice of fabric colors, velvet trim, or with added piping, for a made-to-measure quality doctor's gown at an off the rack price.

Prices shown above are for standard sized doctoral gowns.
For full figured gowns (Plus sizes), please add $30.00
per plus sized gown. Plus sizing adds an additional 10 inches of
material in the girth.
Your choice of black velvet or PhD blue velvet is standard
on these gowns.
If you would prefer a different color velvet,
we can make it special for you for an additional $30.00
per gown. If you would like the gown in a color other than
black, the additional charge would be $75.00.
Other fabric options (such as crepe, tropical wool) and piping are also available.

Although not required, most faculty members prefer wearing a doctoral tam instead of a plain mortarboard as it is more comfortable, dressier, and helps differentiate the teachers from their students.
